After wishing for a crystal ball, a mysterious machine is delivered to his office unordered, and within a few minutes begins spewing out pages filled with information about the future.

Cinderella Wore Combat Boots
An adaptation by Jerry Chase

Cinderella, and the other characters, think and speak in modern terms, replacing the innocent mood of the original with the very hip and knowing attitudes of today’s young people. The stepsisters are more boy crazy than ugly; their mother more silly than cruel; and the prince is so bashful and tongue-tied that he hides whenever a girl comes into view. And Cinderella does wear combat boots to the ball—which is delightfully consistent with the wacky, tongue-in-cheek, and continually diverting style of this thoroughly charming short play.

Producer: Kat Brais
Director: Gina Gabay

Open January 30 - February 14 - Tickets! or More Info

Please Note:
Due to Snow Cancellations on Feb 6 & 7, Performances have been added to the weekend of Feb 13 & 14.

Metamorphoses
by Mary Zimmerman

A Washington Area Premiere

When it comes to artistic challenges, this is a play most theatres can’t do. But thanks to the “stadium seating” of the Industrial Strength Theater, ESP is excited to stage this beautiful and imaginative piece for the first time in the region.

A modern adaptation of Ovid's thrilling mythological stories, all of them with modern relevancy such as King Midas, Orpheus and Eurydice, Alcyone and Ceyx, and Phaeton; and they are told with a strong element of choreography and lyrical dialog. So, what is the challenge? Most of them are told in and around the large pool of water on stage. Our audience is in for a very special production of this Tony-nominated Best Play that they will never forget.

Produced by Theresa Bender
Directed by Evan Hoffman

Opens March 19 - April 10, 2010

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
A hilarious comedy which cleverly combines the tale of The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood with a very hungry wolf stuck between them! Children and adults will delight in the whirlwind antics of the three pigs, a French Canadian woodsman, and Cornelius B.B. Wolf, who might actually get something to eat, if he doesn't keep blowing things away. A real crowd pleaser for kids and adults alike!

Directed by Scott Olson
