Kat Brais (Director): Heidi is Kat’s third full-length directing gig here at ESPTYA. Other directing credits include Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Cinderella and Rumplestiltskin. She is a nine time WATCH nominee and has appeared in countless productions around the area, the most recent being in the role of Miss Hannigan at FCT. Other onstage highlights include major roles in: The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Blood Brothers, Falsettos, Suburb, Mame, City of Angels, Bye Bye Birdie, Jekyll & Hyde, Sideshow and many more. This production is dedicated to my friend Maryann Hall, who always gave me a chance to direct when no one else would and to my staff who has never let me down….ever. Much love and gratitude to all of you for making my job and my life more pleasant.

Warmth, humor and melody abound in this fresh take on the beloved story about a Swiss orphan who restores joy and meaning to the life of her bitter, lonely grandfather. A skillful and spirited reworking of the Alpine classic, this exquisite adaptation is a touching celebration of optimism, determination and friendship - with plenty of fun, excitement... and yodeling, to boot!
