Characters:
| Sarah: A traveler who has lost her food. She's friendly and thinks fast on her feet. |
| Loren: A friend Sarah makes on her journey. Loren has a deadpan sense of humor. |
| Anne: Loren's Mom. Warm and kind, but not terribly anxious to share their limited food. |
| William: Loren's Dad. Loren's sense of humor comes from William. |
| Elizabeth: A neighbor. She's always right - or thinks she is - but she's very kind of heart. |
| Henry: Elizabeth's husband. Henry and William are good friends. |

About the Director:
Leta Hall is delighted to be directing again for the Theater for Young
Audiences. Previously, she directed "The Emperor's New Clothes" and "Red vs the
Wolf" for ESP's TYA. A spinster aunt at heart, she seems to like stories with
morals but she is always surprised by exactly which life lessons kids draw from
her shows.
About the show:
"Stone Soup" (by Leta Hall) shows what happens when no one has enough to share with a stranger but everyone has enough to share just a little bit with each other. Take a special recipe, three ordinary rocks, an ingredient from each family's kitchen, and add a little love and Stone Soup becomes a very tasty tale!

| First read-through will be scheduled based on performer conflict dates; please bring all conflict information to the audition from April 12-June 27. |
| Tech week begins June 5th. Opening performance is June 12th. Closing performance is June 27th. |
| Saturday performances are at 11:00 am and again at 2:00 pm. |
| Sunday performances are at 12:00 pm on June 13, and at 2:00 pm on June 20 & 27. |
| ALL cast members and technical staff are required to participate in strike at 4:00 pm on June 27th. |
All roles are volunteer positions.
